Pastor Darryl Crain

Darryl W Crain was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and lived there until he was 11 years old. His father was in their US Air Force and was transferred to San Antonio, TX where he spent the remainder of his childhood. He Attended and graduated from a small Christian School and hold the distinction of being the school’s first graduate to receive an athletic scholarship. Pastor Crain attended Baptist Christian College in Shreveport, Louisiana and finished at Central Missouri where he attended on a Basketball Scholarship. Post Graduate degrees were received from Louisiana Baptist University. Pastor Crain has been in full time ministry since 1991 and Senior Pastor since 2000. He is the current Executive Director of Texas Christian Athletic League, as well as the founding Pastor of The Restoration Centre. In 2000, Dr. Crain was asked by a denominational leader to assist in planting a church on the Northwest side of San Antonio. This church became a national leader in growth, conversions, and baptisms and Pastor Crain was asked to speak in various churches and conferences around the state. In 2008, the leadership of TCAL asked Dr. Crain to resume leadership of the organization due to a severe reduction in membership and participation (only 8 schools remained in TCAL). Dr. Crain was appointed as Executive Director and this year proves to be TCAL’s best with nearly 100 schools in the league representing over 35,000 students. The Church was ‘relaunched’ in 2021 after Pastor Crain was asked to return to his home church and assist his Pastor (and father-in-law) with transitional tasks. Pastor Crain has been married 29 years, has six wonderful children and lives in the medical center of San Antonio. Pastor Crain enjoys golfs, still plays basketball, rides his mountain bike, and will publish his first book in 2023.
